Your Thailand trip

7 nights for two travellers, flying from Delhi. Everything below is editorial guidance and indicative pricing — nothing here is a live quote.

Change where you go
Step one

Where we would send you

Three places, chosen from what you told us. Instead of a match score, we explain why each one suits your trip.

Bangkok

The arrival point for almost every Indian itinerary, with the deepest restaurant scene in the country and plenty of Indian, Jain and halal kitchens.

  • Direct flights from Delhi, so no connection to lose time to.

Where to staySukhumvit for shopping and skytrain access, Riverside for views and family space, Silom for nightlife, Pahurat (Little India) for Indian food.

Phuket

The easiest beach add-on: direct flights from several Indian metros, resorts at every price point, and day trips to Phi Phi and James Bond Island.

  • Direct flights from Delhi, so no connection to lose time to.

Where to stayPatong for nightlife and budget stays, Karon and Kata for families, Bang Tao and Kamala for quieter resorts, Phuket Town for food and character.

Krabi and Railay

Limestone cliffs, Ao Nang's beach strip and quieter Railay — calmer and better value than Phuket, and reachable from it by ferry or road.

  • Andaman scenery at lower prices than Phuket, and easy to combine with it.

Where to stayAo Nang for restaurants and transfers, Railay for cliffs and seclusion, Klong Muang for resorts, Koh Lanta for a slower week.

Step two

A shape for 7 nights

  1. Stop 1 — 3 nights

    Bangkok

Sukhumvit for shopping and skytrain access, Riverside for views and family space, Silom for nightlife, Pahurat (Little India) for Indian food.

  2. Stop 2 — 4 nights

    Phuket

Patong for nightlife and budget stays, Karon and Kata for families, Bang Tao and Kamala for quieter resorts, Phuket Town for food and character.

Each internal transfer costs you most of a day, so we only add a third stop when there are enough nights to absorb it.

Step four

Getting in

Indian passport holders enter Thailand visa-free for tourism, and complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before flying. If your trip runs longer than the visa-free allowance you need a tourist e-visa or an extension in Thailand. The panel below shows each rule, who says so, and when we last checked it.
